Chetco River Fishing

Estuary Fishing

Starting in September we start trolling the estuary for fall king salmon. We will always see some of the biggest salmon of the season here. Trolling 360 with Hawkins tackle. When the rain allows, we move up river in the Pavati drift boat. Covered with heater make for a great day in any weather. Salmon runs November-December.

Steelhead will follow the later salmon into the system. January - March is prime time on the Chetco and Smith. The Smith is the first to clear after storms. We have one of the 18 upper Chetco wild and scenic permits. It allows us to get up and away for the other boats. No motors on the upper part. It is absolutely a beautiful drift... priceless

Southern Oregon ocean waters are open year-round with excellent rockfish and lingcod fishing. Crescent City, California, will open in May. We will move boat between ports. This will give us the best chance for Salmon, rock, lingcod, halibut, albacore and crab. Both ports are well protected, giving us easy access to some quality fish grounds.

We are a family friendly guide service. Just read our reviews
